Crystal Edwards is a Massage and Bodywork therapist serving Asheville, NC and surrounding areas. She studied at the Center for Massage and Natural Health, learning many disciplines of massage and bodywork, with focus on Swedish massage, neuromuscular therapy and deep tissue massage. Her integrative style can be described as slow paced and intentional, allowing time and space for relaxation, awareness and release. Crystal’s professional and educational experience in psychology, social entrepreneurship, and herbalism have influenced her practice at Avena Bodywork, where she facilitates thoughtful, professional, client-centered experiences that are tailored to each person’s unique goals. Crystal's B.A in Psychology from UNC Asheville has influenced her professional work and approach to serving others, in business and community. She earned a Holistic Herbalist certification from Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine, and is a lifelong student of herbalism through independent study, medicine making and gardening. At Avena Bodywork, Crystal handcrafts the massage cream used in every session, as well as other herbal infusions and topical blends.
